An independent platform built to make Warcraft 3 custom game data visible, accessible, and permanent.
WC3Tracker was created out of passion for the Warcraft 3 custom game community and a desire to preserve visibility into a part of the game that has remained largely undocumented for over two decades.
Despite the massive impact custom games have had on Warcraft 3 and gaming culture as a whole — giving birth to genres like the MOBA, tower defense, and survival — there has never been any public access to meaningful statistics regarding map popularity, player activity, or long-term community behavior.
WC3Tracker fills that gap by collecting live data directly from ongoing Battle.net activity and making it freely accessible to players, map developers, community organizers, and researchers.
WC3Tracker is an independent project with no affiliation to Blizzard Entertainment. Data is collected through a combination of publicly available lobby trackers and a custom aggregation API built specifically to maintain reliable, high-uptime tracking of Warcraft 3 custom game activity. No private account data, passwords, or personal information is ever accessed or stored. BattleTag display names that appear in lobby data are publicly visible to anyone using the Warcraft 3 custom game browser.
